Investor supervision over the design and construction of the S61 expressway from Ostrów Mazowiecka to Szczuczyn, section: Podborze junction - Śniadowo junction, which will be part of the international road "Via Baltica".
Main Investor: General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways
Scope of the project: approximately 26.04 kilometers
The project includes supervision over the development of the construction design, executive designs, and construction of the S61 expressway on the section: from km 0+000.00 to km 19+462.37, the S8 expressway on the section: from km 550+507.30 to km 553+500.00, and the connection between S61 and regional road DW 627 on the section: from km 0+000.00 (Komorowo Junction) to km 3+562.67 (intersection with DW 627). These sections are located in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, in the counties of Ostrow Mazowiecka and Ostroleka. The investment involves the construction of a dual-carriageway expressway S61, S8 with two road junctions, and 32 engineering structures.
The road is part of the international route - Via Baltica, an element of the Trans-European Transport Network, which will contribute to the development of the western and northern parts of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and the eastern part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The advantage of building the new S61 expressway is redirecting transit traffic through Łomża instead of Białystok, which experts believe will significantly reduce the number of fatal accidents on the currently overloaded road.
