From November 18th to 20th, the 3rd Congress of Engineers of MGGP S.A. took place. This event has become somewhat of a tradition. Engineers from road, railway, and gas contracts supervised by MGGP from across Poland gather in one place. The meeting serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and perspectives among specialists from various industries.
he event took place at the "Magellan" hotel in Bronisławów. Upon arrival, the invited guests were greeted by the MGGP welcoming committee. Guests were presented with small gifts and directed to the hall where presentations took place throughout the day.
At the beginning, director Jerzy Szot welcomed the gathered guests and the MGGP Board. Subsequently, the MGGP Board took the floor and presented the company's strategy for the upcoming years. They emphasized the crucial role played by our engineers.
Next, the speakers, who delivered thematic presentations, took the stage. In the first part, Area Engineering Managers (Artur Oleszkowicz, Maciej Chaja, and Radosław Czarnecki), briefly discussed all the investments supervised by MGGP and introduced the Engineers and Residents managing each contract. Michał Lisowski, as the Commercial Director for Infrastructure, presented in his speech MGGP's activities beyond the borders of our country. Project Manager Michał Białomyzy and Project Engineer Włodzimierz Czerlunczakiewicz discussed the largest railway investment in Poland, which is the reconstruction of Warszawa Zachodnia station. Next, the gas sector team took the floor: Chief Technologist Anna Sztejna, Contract Manager Piotr Zieliński, and Chief Technologist Ryszard Matczuk, who outlined the topic of a strategic investment for Poland, namely the construction of the Poland-Lithuania gas pipeline. The presentations by the MGGP team concluded with Project Manager Natalia Baran and Manager Maciej Chaja, who discussed the unconventional investment, a pilot project of the General Directorate for Supervision.
In the further part of the event, we had the honor of hearing from special guests who graced the 3rd Congress of Engineers of MGGP with their presence and shared topics close to their hearts with us. Adrian Furgalski, the President of the Management Board of the Economic Advisors Team TOR, kicked off the final block of presentations with a talk on infrastructure investments and their future prospects. Maciej Gładyga, the Managing Director of IGTL, shared reflections from the contractors on what unites and divides them from engineers. Finally, during the presentation by Anna Oleksiewicz, the President of the Management Board of the All-Poland Association of Designers and Engineers, and Piotr Skura, the Vice President of the Management Board of the All-Poland Association of Designers and Engineers, we learned more about the ZOPI institution, which has been functioning since 2020, and how our work is perceived by contracting authorities.
After the presentations concluded, all participants proceeded to a formal dinner. There was no shortage of entertainment, including dance performances by the "Kashira" group. Animated discussions and conversations took place at the tables. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere prevailed, allowing everyone to detach from contractual matters. The two days of the Congress enabled us to expand our knowledge, exchange experiences, and spend time together in an extraordinary atmosphere. Reinvigorated and filled with positive energy, we returned to work.
Fingers crossed that nothing will disrupt our plans, and we'll be able to meet at the 4th Congress with such a wonderful lineup as this year. See you then!
