On November 27th, the Tarnów Girls' Cathedral Choir Puellae Orantes celebrated its 35th anniversary. The choir honored the anniversary with a jubilee concert titled "Puellae Orantes and Friends" on the stage of the European Music Center of Krzysztof Penderecki in Lusławice.
The founder and conductor of the choir is Father Władysław Pachota, while Aleksandra Topor is responsible for the vocalists of the Choir as the Artistic Director. Besides the jubilant, the concert featured distinguished artists: the Sinfonia Galicya Orchestra, harpist Elżbieta Baklarz, and pianist/composer Łukasz Farcinkiewicz. Guest conductors included Chikara Imamura and Alexander Humala.
During its 35 years of activity, the Choir has performed on many international stages and released 11 albums. It is the laureate of 26 competitions, the recipient of Gold and Platinum Records, as well as the Fryderyk Award statue.
The choir undoubtedly serves as a splendid cultural ambassador for the city of Tarnów, Małopolska, and the entire country, providing audiences with unforgettable artistic experiences and emotions. We are proud to have been supporting the choir in its activities for years, and on the occasion of such a significant anniversary, we extend our heartfelt congratulations, best wishes for success, and many more beautiful jubilees to come.
